The chair of the Greater Sydney Commission, Lucy Turnbull, says the community will be consulted on a snap review of planning controls in Pyrmont.
Premier Gladys Berejiklian requested the review, to be finished in five weeks, after complaints by supporters of an apartment and hotel tower proposed by the Star Casino about the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment’s negative assessment of that proposal.
Ms Berejiklian’s press release announcing the review, entitled “Pyrmont Set For Facelift”, appears to indicate an intention to change controls to accommodate the proposal. But the Premier has said the review was not about a specific project.
