Burnside’s first wheel park location to be announced in August

Riders of skateboards and rollerblades, scooters and BMX bikes – genteel Burnside wants you. Its council has allocated an initial $75,000 for community consultation and concept designs leading to the leafy locale’s first wheel park.

But the actual location remains a secret for the moment. The Messenger understands the preferred setting will be decided at a Burnside Council meeting on August 27.

It comes as local MP Vickie Chapman has thrown her support behind the park being built at Kensington Gardens Reserve.
