Sébastien Buemi confirmed at Nissan E.Dams in Formula E

Sébastien Buemi will not return to Formula 1 with Toro Rosso, as his future is set to Formula One with Nissan in 2019. The 2015/16 Formula E champion will remain in the competition at a time when E.dams / Renault ‘transits’ for Nissan, which as it is known is a partner of the French manufacturer.
Buemi, who drove for Toro Rosso in F1 between 2009 and 2011, is still a Red Bull test and reserve rider, and his presence in the Formula 1 paddock at the Singapore Grand Prix sparked speculation that Red Bull was considering his return, but bearing in mind that several Formula E races next season are concomitant with the 2019 Formula 1 calendar, this immediately discards this possibility and the 29-year-old will have on his side at Nissan E.Dams the Formula One driver, Alexander Albon, who will make his F1 debut in December in Saudi Arabia.
For Jean-Paul Driot, E.Dams team principal: “Sebastien has been an important part of E.Dams since our first Formula E race four years ago in China,” he said.
