Dillmann and Duval test for NIO

Two more drivers test with NIO before the 2018-19 Formula E season.
Tom Dillmann and Loic Duval participated in testing for the NIO last month while the Chinese team continues to evaluate riders for the upcoming season of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship.
Both drivers participated in a test in Spain, and NIO, gave Oliver Rowland, current test driver of the Williams Formula 1, a test later this month.
While Dillman drove for a few laps, Duval’s time in the cockpit was compromised, which means the former Dragon rider can take a new test soon.
The 2013 winner at Le Mans competed in 28 Formula E races, having the best results, a third place in Berlin and again third in London in 2015. He was replaced by Neel Jani in the Dragon before the 2017-18 season.
Duval currently runs for Audi in DTM and TDS Racing in the LMP2 category of the FIA World Endurance Championship.
His compatriot Dillmann, who replaced Edoardo Mortara at Venturi in three rounds last season, had his best result, a fourth place in the first race in New York earlier this year.
E-racing365 understands that currently the NIO should start the season with an unchanged lineup with Oliver Turvey and Luca Filippi.
Filippi racked up the largest number of miles testing the NIO’s Gen 2 car so far after Turvey suffered an injury in New York that prevented him from driving for several weeks.
