Your insurance should pay or help you pay for renting a car while yours is in the shop.

This happened to me a few years ago, and the ins, co. of the party at fault paid for an "equivalent" rental car. Call 'em up and find out what they will pay for, or ask YOUR ins agent to do so.

depends on your insurance if you have rentals insurance or hire car insurance the insurance should pay for it if not usually the owner of the car pays for it, so you would! even when the accident is not your fault, there insurance should pay for your car, medical but not rental/hire car unless you have that kind of insurance.

You should ask the insurance company the question concerning alternate transportation in case of collision.

You need to contact the other driver's insurance company right away and get the claim number. Then, ask that insurance company their preference for rental vehicle. They will tell you a rental company that they have a contract with. Then, you will use that rental car place and rent a car and make sure you give them the claim number. That rental car place will then bill that person's insurance company. You should not have to pay a dime.
