how do i lend my car out ? UK – what about the insurance- how do the customers hiring the ccar out get insured? how do the professional car hire companies do it?

you are a business, you need a business insurance policy, and you may need permits etc. for the municipality in which you conduct this business. don’t try to do it with personal insurance, you’ll pay too much for no coverage if you get caught! you can get coverage for the car, but I believe each driver needs to be covered-call your agent!

If you where to get into an accident, the insurance company can deny your claim, because you did not disclose to them that you are using your vehicle as a business transportation.
