Heading to Malaga soon – does anyone know best car hire company to use?

Hi everyone
Heading to Malaga shortly and are considering hiring a car. Can anyone tell me the best car hire company to use. Have read a lot of reviews on the internet and most of them are bad!!!
Your help would be greatly appreciated in this matter.

I notice you say you are only considering hiring a car, in which case I would say give it more thought. What exactly will you be using the car for? If you are a family and intend doing trips everyday then it may well be worthwhile, but in this area of Spain local transport is excellent and cheap, in the form of buses and trains. In any case, you could always hire for a shorter period when you get there, as there is plenty of choice. It’s also worth considering the weather situation. Do you really want to be driving once the temperatures get into & above the 80*s-90*s as they do now. Please don’t think I’m trying to put you off but in 20 years of visiting the Costa del Sol regularly, I’ve never found a car to be necessary.
To help, should you decide that you do require a car I’ve attached the following link, which gives a comparison of car hire companies at Malaga Airport -

See if there is a Sol y Mar car hire down near Malaga. They are usually good and not too expensive.
