A lot of BRAC … A lot of BRAC history from U.S. and Australia/Asia is in his book “Bob Ansett – an Autobiography with Robert Pullan” is a very insporational book. Budget Australia was noted for its devotion and innovation towards employees and customers alike.
He also introduced … He also introduced Budget credit cards, He set up Budget travel vouchers, was in the process of setting up Australias first low cost Airline under the Budget brand in the 80’s also. He also was the first person to crack the Japanese market and was trying to make inroads to the Chinese market as he predicted it would boom back in the 80’s also. Some of the most clever TV advertising campaigns were done through Budget branded advertising (if I remember correctly).
This is great! But … This is great! But would have been nice to see some of Bob Ansett’s efforts shown as he was very instrumental in setting up the Franchise worldwide……he also cornered 70% of the Australian matket back in the 80’s. He also had the first “Budget Airplane” that toured Australia to promote the brand to be “No.1 in ‘81″ which he achieved defeating Avis and Hertz in one foul swoop.
This is a very … This is a very effective video and works well because of the links with the major world events from different decades.
VERY CLEVER!!!!
